ABOUT THE PLANT
Gas treatment plant ETAN in Ivaniæ Grad, Croatia, is a part of the largest national oil & gas company INA Industrija nafte d.d.; Incoming gas is supplied via gas pipeline from Podravina-Molve gas treatment plant. ETAN produces: ethane, propane, butane and natural gas liquid. Produced gasses are shipped via gas pipeline to "Etilen" plant in Zagreb, or by special trucks and railcars to various locations.
CONTROL SYSTEM
Automation and control system is based mainly on ABB Advant and Master family equipment. As a first step in DCS upgrade and modernization, a new ABB 800xA operator station (Industrial IT - extended automation) was added. It operates in parallel to two ABB Advant 500OS operator stations.
ABOUT THE TRAINING COURSE
Title: "Using operator station ABB 800xA" (A125). The purpose was to show and teach how to use the OS with application ETAN. Main subjects were: User interface, Operator functions, Events and Alarms, Status list and Trend displays. Training was organized for 2 groups of 6 operators and held in INTEA's premises. Training system consisted of INTEA's own equipment in ABB MasterBus300 network:
- 800xA operator station,
- Advant Station AS515 OS operator station,
- Advant Controller AC410 with I/O modules.
INTEA - PREVIOUS ENGAGEMENTS
Since 1995. INTEA is constantly present on the plant and entrusted with all DCS modifications, upgrades and maintenance.
