ABOUT THE PLANT Boulaos is the largest powerplant in Djibouti operated by Electricité de Djibouti. It consists of a number of diesel generators controlled by various control systems. ABOUT THE CONTROL SYSTEM Generators G13-16 and G25 are controlled by eight ABB process controllers AdvantController 110. ABB IndustrialIT 800xA visualization presently supports monitoring and control of generators G13-16, G22 and G25. Extension is planned to cover remaining generators also. ABOUT ORDER AND PROJECT This order "Boulaos Power Plant - SCADA System Homogenization" comprizes the following delivery scope: Site Works • Establishing communication link between plantwide ABB Industrial IT 800xA DCS and G12/G17/G18 local control system - InTouch SCADA (OPC link), • Establishing communication link between plantwide ABB Industrial IT 800xA DCS and G22 local control system - WOIS, • Troubleshooting and modifications: DCS / GPS time synchronization, G22 process displays, IMS archiving and reporting, • Survey and specifications for further control system upgrades and modifications. OUTCOME ABB 800xA visualization is enabled for presenting process data from additional 4 generators G22 and G12/G17/G18. Complete satisfaction of the client and end-user regarding completed site works is explicitly confirmed in a formal record. INTEA - PREVIOUS ENGAGEMENTS INTEA is present at Boulaos powerplant since 1999. Total of ten orders for various DCS equipment and works awarded during that period, testify additionally of the client's satisfaction.
