Advant OCS with Master Software

ABB - Advant OCS (Open Control System) is ABB solution for improvement of manufacturing productivity. In 1992, Master systems from the 80's, began its evolution to Advant OCS. This evolution introduced high capacity controllers, I/O with improved redundancy scheme and modern UNIX workstations. S800 I/O was added in 1996, providing modular and flexible remote I/O. In 2000, Advant OCS with Master Software introduced Industrial IT enabled products.

	ADVANT CONTROLLERS Advant OCS with Master SW product family includes high performance process controllers for demanding applications in industrial environment. Advant controllers can be used stand alone or as an integrated part of 800xA system.
	AC 160 Advant Controller 160 is a proven process controller for demanding applications in dedicated industries. Possible integration with 800xA system through 800xA for AC 100 interface.
	AC 450 Advant Controller 450 is a proven, high-end, high performance process controller for binary, regulatory, and supervisory control for demanding applications in industrial environment. Preferably integrated with the 800xA system through the 800xA for Advant Master interface.

	I/O SYSTEMS A versatile and complete range of process I/O systems within the Advant family enables optimal user configurations.
	S100 I/O Rack-based I/O system for Advant Controller 410 and Advant Controller 450. It consists of one or more I/O racks with several I/O boards, connection units and cables covering a wide variety of applications. Optical modems enable remote location of S100 I/O sub-racks.
	S600 I/O Rack-based, local I/O system for Advant Controller 110 and Advant Controller 160. There is a full complement of S600 I/O modules to choose from for digital and analog inputs and outputs. Field wiring is terminated on multi-pole connectors at the module's front.
	S800 I/O S800 I/O is modular and flexible process I/O system used as distributed I/O for Advant Controller 400 Series controllers. High performance Advant Fieldbus 100 is usually applied for remote I/O communication.

	ENGINEERING Advant Engineering Tools/Products provide applications for efficient and intuitive configuration and programming of Advant Control Systems with Master Software.
	AS 100 Advant Station 140 is durable PC for field work - Engineering Station for configuration, off-line engineering, on-line programming, maintenance and fault tracing of Advant Controller 400 Series and Advant Controller 100 Series.
	Control Builder A Control Builder A is used for configuration of Advant Controller 100 and 400 Series. It comprizes set of applications for efficient and intuitive configuration and programming of Advant Control Systems with Master Software.

	OPERATIONS Operator Workplaces for Advant and Master controllers are System 800xA Operations (Process Portal) and 800xA for Advant Master, superseding AdvaCommand for Unix.
	Industrial IT System 800xA Operations System 800xA Operations - a consistent method for accessing enterprise-wide data and for interacting with multiple applications from any connected workstation in the plant or office.

	INFORMATION MANAGEMENT Part of Advant Master system. Starting as SuperView system and followed by AdvaInform software as part of AdvantStation 500 Information Management Station (IMS). Windows version of Enterprise Historian, launched in 2001, evolved into today’s System 800xA Information Management.
	System 800xA Information Management Historian Information Management process automation historian functions are inherent to ABB Industrial IT 800xA system. Real-time data such as historical, process and electronic business data is collected from various sources, stored securely and transformed into meaningful information, to be presented as: trends, reports, batch data, alarms and events.

EVOLUTION Upgrading Advant Master system to the latest Advant or System 800xA functionality may include upgrades of: MasterView and AdvaCommand workstations to System 800xA Process Portal MasterPiece 200/1 to Advant Controller 450 - retain controller application, I/O and field wiring MasterPiece 200/1 and/or Advant Controller 450 to AC 800M - retain application, process I/O and field wiring. S400 I/O to S800 I/O
